Emily and a guest will spend five nights at Mackerel Beach in an award-winning beach house on the Pittwater shoreline. The house is 25 miles north of the city center at the edge of Ku-Ring-Gai National Park, near extensive hiking trails with magnificent wildlife including kookaburras, goannas, and wallabies.
The beach house is a good base to explore Sydney, one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities with must-see destinations like the Sydney Opera House, the Royal Botanic Gardens, and Taronga Zoo. The Sydney downtown waterfront is one of the most spectacular in the world and provides opportunities to explore historic precincts such as the Rocks and new development areas such as Barangaroo.
Note: Access to the beach house is by ferry. There are no shops or cars at Mackerel Beach. The sweepstakes winner and guest must be physically able to climb hills and stairs and be able to carry luggage and food from the ferry along the beach to the beach house.
