Tim Mollette-Parks
Associate Principal, Mithun

Tim Mollette-Parks is a landscape designer who has overseen the development and implementation of projects spanning a wide range of scales and contexts. His projects focus on design strategies that are conceptual, yet clear and flexible enough to endure a project and site’s changing demands. As Associate Principal at Mithun, he is leading the integrated practice’s approach to landscape design on projects throughout the Bay-area. In his previous role at Hood Design Studio, he oversaw design and coordination of projects including the Broad Museum Public Spaces in Los Angeles, the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum in New York City, and the Center for the Arts in Jackson, Wyoming.

Tim earned his Masters of Landscape Architecture at UC Berkeley, where his design and research work focused on how landscape design can meld infrastructural needs with enduring placemaking — finding the overlap of function and beauty. He has presented design research at the Kyoto-University of Art & Design and the University of California Energy Symposium. In 2009 he was a National Olmsted Scholar Finalist. He has also served as guest instructor at UC Berkeley over the past four years, teaching design courses at the Department. of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning.
