Your donation helps LAF's mission to support the preservation, improvement and
enhancement of the environment. Donations benefit established projects and
initiatives, including LAF's signature Land and Community Design Case Study
Series, Landscape Futures Initiative, and Leadership in Landscape Scholarship
Program, and enable us to identify innovative ways to reach foundation goals.

Leadership Gifts and Pledges
A minimum of $1,000 may be pledged to the fund annually by completing a gift
confirmation form and mailing or faxing it to the LAF offices. The donor may
determine how frequently they wish to be invoiced for their pledge (once or
twice per year or quarterly) by completing a Gift
Confirmation Form. Gifts are recognized as soon as the signed gift
confirmation form is received at the LAF office.
Gifts of Securities
Gifts of appreciated securities offer the donor the opportunity to make a
substantial gift to the LAF and avoid capital gains taxes. The donor may also
use the gift as a charitable tax donation. Once notified of the intent to make a
gift of securities, LAF will provide the donor with instructions for submitting
the transfer.
Life Insurance
Donors may name LAF the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, thereby reducing
the donor's taxable estate while benefiting LAF.
Bequests
A bequest allows the donor to support the Landscape Architecture Foundation
beyond the donor's lifetime while providing a reduction in the donor's taxable
estate. Through a will or a codicil to an existing will, you may leave LAF a
specific dollar amount, a specific asset, or a designated percentage of the
estate. These bequests may be restricted for a specific purpose or may be
unrestricted.
Tribute Gifts
Tribute gifts may be requested for oneself or for a family member in lieu of
flowers or other forms of acknowledgement. Donors may also make a tribute gift,
honoring a special occasion or in memory of a friend, family member or
colleague.
